Most of us dream of escaping the hustle and bustle of daily life and retreating to a paradisiacal hideaway. The aesthetic of this kind of getaway is undoubtedly an important variable in choosing where to go. We often imagine ourselves relaxing outside somewhere tropical or by the sea where the curtains billow in the breeze, and the beautiful surroundings are entirely different from the ones we are used to.

It is healthy to engage in an escape such as this every once in a while in order to relax and recharge our batteries. Today on homify360 we will be taking a mini vacation to this sort of place thanks to the designs by Deu i Deu in Barcelona. This comfy and cool retreat features entirely white interiors and exteriors with rustic finishes and ethereal ornamentation. By the time you’re through with the tour we’re willing to bet you’ll be itching to take a trip of your own.

Enticing exterior

Right from the start the striking white plaster structures that comprise the vacation home are striking amidst the natural surrounds. The buildings have a rustic quality with the help not only of their architectural features but with details like the aged wooden side door

The fluttering sheer curtains add enough intrigue to draw guests into the corridor. Let’s have a closer look.

The perfect retreat

Inside the corridor is this serene space shaded beneath exposed white wooden beams. There is plenty of space for guests to sit comfortably and relax.

We love the various little ornaments and lanterns hanging from the walls. They bring just the right amount of sparkle and charm to the space without taking away from its simplistic appeal.

Reed ceiling and matching recliner

There are a number of things that make this place feel earthy and meditative. One of them is the use of raw, natural materials in the design. For example, here we can see a chair and ceiling made of woven reeds – so Mediterranean

The colours add warmth and depth of texture to the look. There is also plenty of seating out here on the veranda for enjoying quiet time closer to the outdoors.

Meditation space

In addition to the tranquil multipurpose areas of the retreat space, there is even a meditation room. With its circular shape, coupled with the orb light fixtures, the room has a feeling of harmony and stability. The colourful cushions help to make the simple space feel cosy and inviting.

Bedroom tucked away

When you’re staying in a meditative retreat space, it feels right to keep the bedrooms comfortable but minimal. Here we see a perfect execution of this look with the white interior that features two beds situated beneath a rustic wooden window. The blue blankets on the bed and the lovely metallic hanging fixture are all that’s needed by way of décor.
