Built on a fairly constrained budget, this house designed for a newly wed couple oozes class but is also charmingly simple at the same time. Our experts at Feather Building Space Design based in Taiwan have made excellent use of the open plan living space and the single bedroom to provide the couple a wonderful place to grow together. The house is primarily dominated by shades of blue and gray with warm wooden veneer to compliment the overall setting. Large full height windows and sleek wall partitions ensure that all the spaces are provided with ample of sunlight throughout the year for a cheerful homely ambiance.

The living and kitchen are the part of the open plan layout, a feature which is getting increasingly common in modern compact houses. In this view, we also get a sense of the material palette employed by the architects. The walls are covered with a pleasing blue and white colored combination while the flooring is provided with a warm wooden touch.
The living room is provided with a solid gray-colored sofa that is positioned in the center of the room and can comfortably accommodate at least three members. The sofa is provided with cushions of brighter shades that not only add to the comfort but also look pleasing. We also loved the miniature wall paintings and the artistic lamp fixture that combine nicely to enhance the visuals of the overall setting.
The house is blessed with two large windows that draw in ample amounts of natural light. In order to control the amount of light entering the house, the architects have provided the windows with sleek horizontal window blinds.
The center table of the house is unique. Rather than opting for a conventional table, the architects have opted for a cushioned table instead. This way the architects have offered more flexibility and an extra seating space in case a larger group of friends visit the house.
The entrance of the house is maintained to be as simple and functional as possible. As we enter the house, we can see the nicely designed wardrobe along the wall that can easily fit in a decent amount of household essentials. Further, the light fixtures of the house too follow the same design language as other spaces. Overall the fixtures are very modern but at the same time are minimal and conservative in their appearance.
This wall is the main feature wall of the living room and is provided with a simple black ledge which can perhaps be useful for installing the television set in the future. Currently, the ledge is used to keep the two abstract paintings that give a very modern feel to the space. We particularly liked the full height veneer finish of the display wall.
In spite of the space being an open plan area, the architects have done well to physically separate the two spaces. The sleek metal and glass partition between the kitchen and the living room provides space separation but at the same time allows light to pass through, thus giving a sense of larger than actual area.
The dining table is positioned behind the wall partition and is a part of the kitchen. The entire space is positioned in such a way that is separated yet connected with the living room.
The bedroom is provided with the same palette as that of the living room and has very few furniture elements on display. We loved how the architects have combined wood paneling along with the other wall finishes to give the space a very contemporary look.
The bedroom is also provided with a sleek study space keeping in view the working nature of the clients. The study space is provided with comfortable wall ledges that occupy the entire height of the wall. The work table too is a simple but is composed of a highly comfortable arrangement of wooden top and slender metal legs.
